Maritime Security Case Studies
Problem
We have been contracted by a large shipping company in Belgium with a fleet of over 600 ships. Their security issue stems from the proximity of some of the berths to the river in Antwerp. This makes access easier, and less secure, and it introduces an increased security risk.
Solution
The company requested security guards stationed at the access point when they have a ship moored at these berths to check that anyone attempting to come aboard is authorised. We provide professional maritime security guards from before the ship arrives at the mooring until it leaves. The guards employ access control protocols to ensure that credentials and permissions are checked.
Outcome
The contract is ongoing. There have been no security issues and no unauthorised access with our guards controlling access to the ships berthed in vulnerable moorings
Brittany Ferries
Working alongside Brittany Ferries out of Plymouth, Titan Security Europe provided uniformed guarding to passengers boarding and disembarking on the ferry service between Roscoff and Plymouth. It was important for this role to provide safety and customer service. We ensured the safety of all passengers going on to the boat by using random searches. We also focused on customer service by ensuring ticket checks were conducted in a friendly manner while at the same time directing and assisting passengers. For those passengers coming off, it was the same process in reverse. The contract was during peak trading of summertime. This involved using five security guards, with our on-site supervisor working alongside Brittany’s staff.
