Case Study: Maritime Security Guards in Belgium
Problem
We have been contracted by a large shipping company in Belgium with a fleet of over 600 ships. Their security issue stems from the proximity of some of the berths to the river in Antwerp. This makes access easier but less secure and introduces an increased security risk.
Solution
The company requested security guards stationed at the access point when they have a ship moored at these berths to check that anyone attempting to come aboard is authorised. We provide professional maritime security guards from before the ship arrives at the mooring until it leaves. The guards employ access control protocols to ensure that credentials and permissions are checked.
Outcome
The contract is ongoing. There have been no security issues and no unauthorised access with our guards controlling access to the ships berthed in vulnerable moorings
