Read a leisure industry client case study exploring a recent successful security contract that Titan Security carried out in the southeast of England.

The Free Security Consultation

A theatre in southeast England had become dissatisfied with the leisure security services provided to them by their previous security company. They decided to reach out to other contractors to look into changing their security.

Titan Security Europe was one of the companies they reached out to. They told us they were unhappy with the services they had currently. We used our standard free consultation to clarify exactly what they were looking for and offered them a cost-effective and efficient service to suit their needs.

It was our leisure and event security team that presented the plan that the client decided to go with.

What The Client Needed

  • The client approached us in December, and they wanted us to start ASAP. December is an extremely busy month for theatres, with Christmas shows leading into pantomimes, so they needed security more than ever.
  • The client wanted a regular security team they could trust. This had been an issue with a previous firm that they did not want to run into again. They wanted to know each guard that might be on their site at any one time.
  • They needed full coverage of the theatre, from the entrance to the stage door, especially in such a busy time.

These were the concerns and needs that the client brought to our meeting.

Our Leisure Security Strategy in Action

To fit in with the needs of our client, we offered and provided the following:

  • A set team of six guards, all of whom were introduced to and made familiar with the staff in the theatre before our work started. This meant that the staff would know every guard that could be on-site, and also that there was cover for sickness, emergencies, and no-shows that would not be unknown strangers to the client.
  • At any one point, we would have three guards on site, with the rest as backup, or to come in at the last moment if the client needed additional guarding for a particular night, i.e. if a show included someone of particular fame.

Our guards were placed as follows:

  • There was one guard at the door to the theatre who had the specific job of checking bags as audience members entered the theatre.
  • One guard was placed in the auditorium with the job of ensuring that people stayed in their seats, did not cause any ruckus, and acted in accordance with the code of conduct.
  • Another guard was placed on the stage door to manage any meet and greets and to ensure there was no unauthorised entry.

A Successful Outcome

The client was so happy with the service we provided throughout December that we now have a permanent contract with them.

We have kept the same team of guards for them, and whenever there is a show at that theatre, we provide the same guarding services to them and will continue to do so.
