Security for a sewage works – Ireland
Titan Security was contacted when thieves cut through a perimeter fence and stole valuable machinery from the site.
The thieves used large machinery to cross fields and break into the sewage plant to steal on-site equipment. Criminals had targeted the client, an Irish building company, on several other occasions.
The CCTV system installed at the site proved to be easy to bypass using signal-blocking technology.
This was something we had encountered before, and with machinery valued at tens of thousands of pounds at risk, urgent security protection was needed.
We recommended a strategy that involved signage, static security guards, and a branded security patrol vehicle. We also opened up talks with local neighbours to make them aware of the security issues and ask them to remain vigilant and report anything suspicious to our control room.
We are pleased to say the project ran for almost a year, during which we encountered and deterred several suspicious visits. There were no further losses from the site during the contracted period.
