Titan Security Europe was approached to provide event security officers for a UK government meeting set up at short notice. The event was to be held at a hotel in Basingstoke.
The client was keen to avoid media attention. Some issues presented a potential security risk. Ongoing Brexit negotiations were a key flashpoint that could attract both media attention and protests.
We discussed options with the client and evaluated the best practices and processes to avoid disrupting such a high-profile meeting.
Officers supplied were briefed and fully vetted to ensure compliance with our own standards as well as being appropriately licenced for such an event. All security officers supplied to the site held the UK SIA Door Supervisor licence.
Our clients were pleased that the event went ahead without issue. Although the media did not attend in the numbers expected, our preparation and planning covered all eventualities, which meant that attendees had the reassurance they needed that the event could go ahead without danger or disruption.
